30323 – 07.02.2023 – the wind was forcing us to use the engine

Yesterday marked the beginning of the eight to nine day journey to Bermuda. Floaties were excited to finally get back to the Alex after spending 3 nights on-shore.

The Alex left the port at around 14:30, but the wind was blowing in the wrong direction forcing us to use the engine all day. This caused the boat to keel forwards and back instead of left to right making lots of Floaties seasick.

Some Floaties were lucky enough to spot whales on the way out of port while others were busy in class or with back-shaft.

Hi mom and dad!
