04.12.2023 – a deep sense of loss

4th of December

As the sun rose onto the Alex-2 this morning, there was a deep sense of loss. For one of our beloved movie hard drives had been broken, and beyond repair at that. Though we will miss the comfort of our favourite movies, we’ll discover new things – like books. What better time to begin reading than on a nice sunny day like today. As members of the fishing club waited for their catch, some began to read. The English class has become familiar with this idea of reading and have now begun to construct their own thesis statements about a recent story they finished. As the day came to a close and the sun neared the horizon in the distance, our forks from our delicious steak dinner were put down and our focused shifted to the sunset. Another successful day has passed. – written by Mekhi
