Today as a floatie, it was an interesting day. We started the day off with a beautiful rainbow, and then by lunch, we saw two sharks off the rear of the ship and one of our Lookouts swears they saw a sea turtle. This was combined with the fresh-caught tuna from yesterday that the wonderful cooks prepared for dinner (see photo). The general mood of the Floaties is, I would say, pretty good. Most of us are experiencing the strange feeling when you are at sea where all of the days seem like they are somewhat melded together, and while there are cycles of rest, there is no real difference between each night and day. That and we are doing lots of learning and training for our Ordinary Seaman certifications! – written by Joseph J
