Hello everybody, today was our arrival day in Praia. Classes went on in the morning as per usual until lunch where we were able to go off the ship for shore leave.
Henry C, Corbin, Christina, Justin, and I headed out towards town and our first stop was the beach.
The beach was beautiful with its white sand, and blue water, and we enjoyed some refreshing coconuts from a beach vendor. We took a swim, enjoying the warm water on this hot summer day in the middle of December. I brought my snorkel to the beach, and checked out the reefs which was quite cool!
After the beach, we headed to the Praia shopping centre to buy gifts for our secret Santas, and fellow floaties.
We found Praia to be a quiet town with little activity, and it was hard to pin point the city centre, making us head to dinner a little early. We enjoyed our dinner, and headed back to the ship for an early night.
