This morning, I drank coffee at breakfast like I do every morning. Just a good, hot cup o’ Joe. Emma announced that they’re going to start doing morning yoga on Thursdays at sunrise. The Backshaft challenge is still in full swing; today’s was a little less eventful. My lunch, as always, involved lots of spice and rich conversation about TV with JP, Ali, Emma, Claire and I gave JP an anchor that Alisa taught me how to make. During Watch, we did some proper sailor stuff; we took away a sail, we braced the yards, and we made a lot of goofy jokes. During the afternoon, I climbed up to the top of the foremast and looked out over the infinite horizon of the North Atlantic, nothing in sight but white and blue, and
the endless expanse of the ocean. It was neat. Dolphins were sighted during sunset, followed by a surprise Flash Mob rendition of “Hooked on a Feeling.” I’d like to shout out my Dad; I miss him a lot. I can’t wait to see him when I get back home. Student Council met this evening to discuss the upcoming Spirit Week and our plans for Parent Port.
