Dear friends and family,
Greetings from aboard the good ship Alex II. We are making good progress to our next port of call to Praia in the Cape Verde Islands and should reach landfall early tomorrow morning, the seas have calmed with a lovely gentle rock n roll. The sun has been shining, spirits are still high after the excitement of decorating the ship, the Christmas concert and 2nd International Dolphin day. Yesterday the students continued to be assessed by the sailing crew towards completion of their Ordinary Seaman (OS) Certification. During their shipboard safety exploration, students demonstrated impressive teamwork, clear communication, genuine friendship, and a mature approach to their tasks. The rumour of an all ship swim call is gaining momentum!
Lunch: cheese on toast, with grilled tomatoes and French fries
Dinner: Bangers and mash, with carrots and peas
I hope this message finds you all in good health.
Best regards,
Mr. Matt
