Greetings to all,
We have just entered the Bermuda Triangle and the swells have yet to increase. We are still cruising in the Caribbean sun as the weather still feels like 26 degrees Celsuis, blue skies, so no one is seasick on this voyage. At colours Klava started a question-of-the-day ritual. Today’s first question was “If you won the lottery what would you do with the money?” These questions are just to start a conversation and are useful to get to learn even more about one another and each other’s personality. As well as recognizing how different minds think alike. We had chores as usual and classes ran throughout the day. The meal plan today looked like the following:
- Breakfast: Fluffy pancakes with chocolate drizzle, Fruit plate topped with apples, pears and oranges, the usual bread baskets, meat and cheese plates and veggies with a refreshing banana smoothie to drink.
- Lunch: A bowl filled with oven grilled vegetables (potatoes, peppers, egg plant, tomatoes, onions, carrots, asparagus and zucchini) topped with egg whites and cheese.
- Dinner: Chicken schnitzel with a side of fries and choice of betroth and onion salad.
The rest of the day was filled with students doing workouts in the dungeon, studying, reading on deck or playing card games in the mess. Students are participating in extra sailing lessons with Claire, who knows everything there is to know about the ship. In order to obtain their Ordinary Seamanship (OS) certificate. We are all begging for a swim call but the current is too fast for now. Emma’s English class are working on making their own reconstructed fairy tales. Using original fairy tales from our childhoods. Even though we come from all around the world we all know what Little Red Riding Hood is but to ensure this Emma had the amazing idea of allowing students to perform and act out these fairy tales to the class. The funniest one being The princess and the pea performed by Emerick, Max, Ezra, Nezi and Zoe. Anyway, today was another good day. Life is what you make of it.
Yours truly, Alyssa Roy
