Hello family and friends,
On night watch (from 10pm-12pm) Dawson said to us, âif you guys want, every night of the Atlantic crossing I can teach you guys a different start constellation from my book.â This year Iâve felt guilty for not knowing the constellation I look up at every night, so I quickly responded âyes, yes! Letâs start right nowâ.
Dawson pointed at the Big Dipper, then the North Star and he showed me Orion’s constellation. Just as Dawson was trying to find the Southern Cross, the brightest shooting star Iâve seen all year burned in front of us â it was awesome. Dawson teaching me the constellations on a random night watch will always be a memory I hold dear to myself and Iâm excited to learn more of them after the Atlantic crossing.
