Dear friends and family,
This morning we left the harbour in Santo Domingo, DR and are heading to Cuba. Yesterday we each woke up in our homestays and were welcomed by a coffee and warm smiles. We each headed to our work stations and started to wrap up our work of multiple days. Even though we were tired we all kept going and gave our best. We got a great good bye and after that we headed back to Santo Domingo. We had a nice late shore leave in which some people went for dinner and others just stayed to rest.
This experience brought a level of connection that we hadnât experienced yet. All of the work payed off when we saw the peopleâs smiles. Good bye Dominican Republic, weâll never forget you.
