Hello Family and Friends,
Greetings from the start of the Atlantic crossing! We set sail yesterday afternoon from Praia, Cabo Verde and embarked on our 2000+ nautical mile voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. The next time we lay eyes on land will be in approximately 2 weeks time in Paramaribo, Suriname, South America!
Classes resumed yesterday and will continue across the Atlantic as we strive to finish our courses ready for exam revision by the time we arrive on the other side! It is hard to believe we can nearly see the end of first semester! What an adventure we have had so far!
In honour of Taylor Swift’s birthday yesterday, Orla, a keen Swifty, organised to screen the first episode of Taylorâs 6-part documentary in the dungeon classroom including popcorn in special Taylor themed containers!
I know there are some mixed emotions about crossing the Atlantic and being at sea for so long (2 weeks) but I have no doubt everyone will feel a huge sense of achievement on the other side! We have some special Christmas-themed celebrations planned for the crossing as well!
See you on the other side!
Jacquie (faculty)
