Dear Family and Friends,
Since the beginning of this voyage I’ve shared meals with countless combinations of people, but today I had lunch with my watch family alone, “aw guys this is so cute,” the moment deserved a family photo.
The saying, “the days feel long and the weeks feel short,” has never felt more true. I couldn’t tell you the difference between today and yesterday, and at the same time, one day on the Alex ll couldn’t be more different than normal life.
Life is centered around routine: watch, classes, meals, and study hall, along with a new addition to the schedule… Official Seamen training!
Today in OS training, led by chief mate Adam Durrua, we learned where the distress flares were located and the steps for launching the safety boat.
As Floaties continue to surf the waves, we keep family, friends and loved ones in our hearts just as we have the day before, today, and tomorrow.
