After a number of days full of sail demonstrations, rope pulling, interviews, ship tours, shopping, and sampling the food and culture of Tenerife, it was time to say goodbye and set sail once again. There were a lot of hugs and some tears as 09:30 approached but then joy: the pilot was delayed! Many of us dashed back into town for one last something before the time finally came to leave – for real this time. We’re almost ready for the Atlantic crossing. Mindelo, here we come!
