This epic day started with a crispy cold colours where we were told how to prepare for the day ahead. Even if some people weren’t too excited to hike bare foot in the 11 degree weather most people were on the bus for 8:30. Mont Saint Michel in France was even more beautiful than in pictures, did you know that it inspired the castle in Rapunzel?! I sure didn’t but was reminded many times by some highly enthusiast people. After a few hours of exploring on our own, we met up for a guided tour of the sandy surrounding. Some of us even dared each other to jump around in some quicksand (and roll around becoming completely submerged!) – definitely a highlight! After a long and amazing morning, we headed back to the boat for an unforgettable afternoon of shore leave in the charming town of Saint Malo, soaking up the sights, sounds, and tastes of coastal France.
