DAILY LOG FOR MARCH 10
Yesterday we had our day off of class. We did a deep ship clean and we also gave Jill and Jannik the day off from cooking. Thanks to Alex, Jazz, Liv, Shayna, Kylie, Arjun and Jack for taking over the galley for the day and keeping us fed! PS also the grossegel ripped down the middle last night when sudden wind gusts blew the Alex way off course and the sail blew into the mast. Don’t worry, we’re all fine.

DAILY LOG FOR MARCH 8
Mini-tragedy struck (don’t worry, we’re all fine). An hour before dinner last night, some huge swells attacked the Alex. The casualty: the fish cakes that Jill and Jannik had been making for dinner. With only an hour left to go, they managed to put together a German maritime specialty for dinner: labskaus. It’s corned beef, shredded potatoes and onions all cooked together, with pickled red cabbage served alongside. These two are magicians. Thank you for cranking out hot meals even when the entire galley is tossing up and down!
