18.12.2023 – Colours

Woke up to the beautiful view of Mindelo Port! Anchored just off the shore, Mindelo is our final stop in Capo Verde before facing the much anticipated, daunting, eventful and exciting Atlantic crossing, which will put all our newly acquired sailing skills to the test! Speaking of which, a big congratulations is in order for our fellows floaties nominated for the first semester Ordinary Seamen exam! We are all very proud of the 12 floaties chosen and are exciting for even more people to be selected next semester!

Hammocks and Christmas preparations are in full swing (pun intended). When floaties are not in the mess they can most likely be found up on deck swinging in a hammock or wrapping their cabin doors in wrapping paper and opening advent calendars. 🎄🌸🌅

We are all excited for the upcoming days in sunny Mindelo, to head to the beach and restock on snacks for the long sail ahead. A cult favourite snack is currently cereal with Nesquick chocolate powder mixed into the milk and canned peaches have risen in popularity since the last island 🏝️ 🍑
