Good Morning, beautiful people!
We have exited the Bay of Biscay yesterday and are now in route on the Atlantic (aka the pond as sailors call it.) We were able to put up 9 sails yesterday but still have Matilda on. The sea state has been low leading to fairly calm waters just some consistent rolling of the boat. Which is a bummer since it prevents us to climb aloft. The weather is getting warmer each day, letting us shed a layer of our foullies, some are even in only a sweater and pants.
The warmer weather brings amazing sunrises and sunsets, which make us forget about the bigger problems in life and allow us to just enjoy the present moment. Each day it’s a common occurrence for shipmates to see porpoises, although the excitement of seeing them has not dulled down. In fact a few days ago some of us even saw some whales, even though Teagan thought they were seals. Each day is a new adventure. Until tomorrow!
(P.S. Hi Mom and Dad!)
