06.01.2022 – the wind is perfect for our westerly course

The winds from the northeast have picked up, which is perfect for our westerly course and we are moving fast this morning! The drizzle disappeared for long enough that our chief mate richard could tell us the story of the evolution of riggings from viking time through modern day. Our beloved green bark is perfect for atlantic crossings. Thanks to lena (our on-deck illustrator) for the diagrams.

Also, hello to all the dads on land or at sea! Specifically, rafa and sam’s dad.
