01.01.2022 – new year under the stars

There is no better way to kick off the new year than under the stars in the middle of the atlantic. After a lively concert, late night buffet of treats, and theater performance, our spirited group welcomed 2022 on deck with cheers and the spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes. Our crew was reminded of the luxuries that come with being a shipboard bubble (an absence of masks, distance, and worry) and embraced this with as many hugs as possible!

We are sending all of our favorite people a warm ocean breeze and happy new year from the ALEXANDER von HUMBOLDT II!
